1. Book Description:
Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education: Quick Vocabulary Handbook, a practical vocabulary-learning manual for Chinese language learners, is compiled in strict accordance with the “List of Chinese Vocabulary” in Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education.
According to the “three levels and nine bands” of the Standards, Quick Vocabulary Handbook is composed of seven volumes, and this volume belongs to Level 1, which contains all the 500 words in Level 1. With 20 words per unit internally, this volume seeks to turn vocabulary learning into parts and improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning, so that learners can complete one unit of vocabulary learning and practice every day. The book organizes the words in phonetic order and illustrates and shows the words in four dimensions: pronunciation, word class, interpretation and usage. 2. About the Author:
Qu Shuhao, who has a PhD in Literature, is an associate professor in the College of International Cultural Exchange of Central China Normal University. She has long been teaching Chinese as a preparatory course and Chinese courses at junior, middle and senior levels for international students in China, and has participated in authoring several Chinese textbooks. She has worked as an international Chinese teacher at the Confucius Institute in Carleton, Canada. Her research mainly focuses on Chinese grammar, Chinese teaching methods for foreigners, and the compilation and development of Chinese teaching materials.
